So many diseases target women only. However, exercise and a healthy lifestyle can combat many of them. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women. But, exercise for women and physical activity can possibly reduce a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in women. But women who exercise can significantly reduce their risk of developing breast cancer.
In fact, women who walk at least seven hours a week, have a 14% less chance of developing breast cancer than those who walked for fewer than three hours per week.*
Even better, women who are the most active, sweating vigorously for up to 10 hours each week, have an even greater health benefit. They actually have a 25% less chance of developing breast cancer.*
Women's exercise programs may change the internal makeup of a woman's body and make it harder for breast cancer to take hold.
